Hello! This is Boroffice, DG-NASRDA. I just want to applaud all the management and staff of NASRDA, NigComSat-1 project team and our centres for all the hardwork and sacrifice in getting us ready for the lunching of our own Nigeria Communication Satellite.

On behalf of the Agency, I express our deep gratitude to His Excellency, President Olusegun Obasanjo and our Honourable Minister, Prof. T. Isoun, for their unflinching support of this project.

We thank the President and the Honourable Minister, for believing in us and for providing the vision and strong leadership that has brought us to this enviable position.


As we get closer to the lunch day (A day of wonderful milestone and destiny!) I want to remind you, that in your prayers, please continue to ask for God's Hands, to guide our satellite for a successful lunch, to the right orbit, to the right angle and to perform excellently, once in orbit.

Some of us will be going to China for this special milestone. Please commend all the delegates, all the engineers and personnel involve in this project to God's mercy, guidiance and protection.

I implore you to set aside the time to watch the lunching of our own satellite on Sarturday, May 13, 2007.

May God continue to be with all of us.

Congratulations to all us for the successfully completion and commissioning of the National Space Center - our permanent site. I appreciate the contribution and sacrifices many of you made, to ensure the success of the occassion.

Thank you and keep up the good job.

In few days, we will be lunching NigComSat-1. We are prayerful and confident that we will have a successful lunch. I applaud all the NigComSat-1 team as well as the entire NASRDA management and staff for making the dreams come true.

This is Prof. Boroffice. Though there are many things I could say to you, however I want to limit this maiden electronic message to share with you, the purpose of this page and to invite you to help us maintain a two-way dialogue for the advancement of our agency.

This page will be used as an additional medium of communication and sharing information, such that you can receive important messages from me, in a timely manner, anywhere, any time you want it.

This page will also provide you with the opportunity to send your comments and suggestions directly to me. I encourage you to please take advantage of the advances in technology. I am looking forward to our electronics dialogues.

This is just the beginning. Shortly, we shall be able to communicate via video-mail, intra-net tele-conferencing wirelessly. The sky is no more the limit. Let's keep talking.
